Wildlife: Pahranagat Valley is rich in wildlife year round. The Valley is home to two national wildlife refuges: The Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge and The Key Pittman National Wildlife Refuge. For more information click here: Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge
Archeological Sites:  Pahranagat Valley is the home of the famous "Pahranagat Man" petroglyphs. 
A few of the sites that show maps and historical information are: The Ash Springs Archeological District, The Crystal Wash Archeological DistrictMount Irish Rock Art and Archeological DistrictRainbow Canyon Archeological Sites, and White River Narrows Archeological District.
Fishing and Hunting:
Hunting and Fishing Seasons within the Pahranagat Valley include big game seasons for Mule Deer, Big Horn Sheep, Antelope, and Elk. There are also abundant Upland Game and Water Fowl populations in the valley. Hunting and fishing are permitted on designated areas subject to all applicable state, federal and refuge regulations.  Please contact the Wildlife refuge for more information.

Area 51 -   The Alamo Inn is one of the closest motels to the infamous Area 51 military base, less than 50 miles to the west, which makes Alamo a base point for many extraterrestrial enthusiasts.  Regular military exercises including Red Flag and Green Flag take place nearby. Off Roading and ATV TrailsThere are literally thousands of miles of off-highway roads and trails available to explore. Several ghost towns are accessible along with many beautiful mountain and valley trails, and easy access to the Silver State OHV Trail encompassing over 260 miles of improved trails. Alamo is home to the annual Silver State 300 Desert Race, for more information check out the Best in the Desert Racing Association website.
